Diary Of A Dignified Diva

Diary of the Dignified Diva

Before Islam, I didn’t care…
about how short were my skirts  or how stylish was my hair
Before Islam, I didn’t care…
about how painted was my face or how men would sometimes stare
Before Islam, I didn’t care…
About how tight were my clothes or if someone could see my underwear
But as I embraced this deen, I began to understand that a righteous woman
is dignified and clean.
A righteous woman is known for what is in her mind and not her body.
A dignified diva-I am –and not to be called a hotty.
So I cover myself modestly from head to toe.
I know that Allah is watching you know.
A dignified diva,  the real covered girl- a muslim woman-
the most beautiful woman in the world.

Oh Palestine-By Shelia Chughtai

Oh Palestine-By Shelia Chughtai

Oh Palestine!
Oh Palestine!
How could the entire world be so blind?
All the fighting, battling and bloodshed
The very same place were Esa crucifed and bled
Oh Palestine!
Oh Palestine!
How could the entire world be so blind?
Many innocent lives tragically gone
Fighting in the Holy Land-what went wrong?
Remember here in the west when the settlers killed off the Indians
This is what is happening to the Palestinians.
Oh Palestine!
Oh Palestine!
How could the entire world be so blind?
If a muslim army tried to defend you and your land
Would the world see you differently, would it really understand?
Oh Palestine!
Oh Palestine!
How could the entire world be so blind?
If colonialism, apartheid, and slavery is supposedly gone
Then why is there fighting in the Holy Land-what went wrong?
